ORNAMENTAL TATTOOING Berlin

I’ve been tattooing since 2009. I specialize in ornamental and blackwork (blackout) tattooing.

My work is built on a traditional approach to tattooing, with a strong focus on clean, solid execution. I work with bold lines, strong contrast, and precise application to ensure that each tattoo is clear, durable, and holds up over time.

Visually, my work draws from a broad range of ornamental traditions, from European decorative arts to indigenous and tribal ornament, taking inspiration wherever strong visual language exists.

I combine these influences with blackwork and blackout tattooing to create designs that feel structured, balanced, and natural on the body.

I don’t see blackout as something heavy or brutal. For me, it is one of the most elegant tattoo styles. Clean, solid black can highlight the body’s natural lines in a very precise and refined way, and it works perfectly together with ornamental elements to create a cohesive and well-defined look.

My main focus is creating strong, detailed compositions that follow the shape of the body. Ornamental tattooing works best when it has space, so I especially enjoy larger projects such as sleeves, backpieces, and other large-scale work where the design can fully develop and flow.

At the same time, I also enjoy working on cover-ups. Blackwork and ornamental design offer some of the most effective solutions for covering existing tattoos. In many cases, the tattoo that needs to be covered guides the new composition, leading to results that are unique and often more interesting than working on empty skin.

Each project is approached individually. Sometimes the best solution is a classic and proven approach, and sometimes it requires a more experimental direction. The goal is always to create a tattoo that fits the body well and holds up over time.
