Nice to meet you!

My name is Igor Sarkanice. I was born in Riga, Latvia, and have been tattooing for more than fifteen years. After learning and working in different countries, I settled in Berlin in 2013. It has been my home ever since.

Travel has had a lasting influence on my work. Architecture, temple art, traditional ornament, and nature continue to shape the rhythm, structure, and detail of the tattoos I create.

Today, my work focuses on custom ornamental blackwork, blackout, and tattoos designed around the natural structure of the body. I work on a wide range of projects, from hand-sized standalone pieces to full-body projects. The scale may vary, but the care and attention given to each design remain the same.

Every project begins with your idea and the body it will live on. Rather than placing a finished image on the skin, I shape the composition around your proportions, movement, and placement. The aim is to create something that feels like it belongs to you, not simply something placed on you.

You’ll Probably Enjoy Working With Me If...

You are drawn to my style and want something created specifically for you.

You care about placement, composition, and how the tattoo works with your body.

You want your ideas to be understood while trusting me to make the artistic and technical decisions needed for the best result.

You value careful work, clear communication, and a tattoo that will still feel right years from now.

Whether you are considering one standalone piece or a larger project built over several sessions, the goal is the same: to create a tattoo that feels personal, balanced, and truly yours.

If this sounds like the kind of tattoo and experience you are looking for, tell me about your idea.
