FAQ
Where are you based?
I’m based in Canggu, Bali, just five minutes from Echo Beach.
I also work part of the year in Berlin, Germany, where I maintain my creative base.
What style of tattoos do you do?
I specialise in ornamental blackwork — heritage-inspired designs built around body flow and geometry.
Each piece is custom, designed to fit naturally with your anatomy, and made to heal and age beautifully over time.
My work combines traditional influences with modern execution, always tailored to the individual.
Do you do cover-ups?
Yes, I do cover-ups — but always with realistic expectations.
The best and cleanest way to cover an old tattoo is often through blackout work, which gives a strong, solid base for new design elements to grow from.
How should I take care of my tattoo?
After every tattoo session, I recommend a few essential rules for proper healing:
- No sugar or alcohol for two weeks. Sugar increases inflammation, slows healing, and can cause infection.
- Keep the area clean and dry. Shower daily with mild soap, but avoid soaking in baths, rivers, or the sea.
- Avoid sun exposure for two months. Even though a tattoo looks healed in about two weeks, complete skin regeneration takes two months.
- Eat well and hydrate. Fruits, vegetables, and plenty of water help your body recover faster than any cream.
- Don’t touch, scratch, or pick your tattoo. Let it heal naturally.
This simple routine will keep your tattoo bright and clean for years to come.
How much does a sleeve cost?
It depends on the size of your arm, the level of detail, and how your skin holds ink. A sleeve usually takes multiple sessions and several dozen hours of work. I charge by time, not by “piece,” so the final cost depends on the total number of sessions.
How long does a backpiece take?
A full back tattoo typically requires 15–65 hours, depending on body size and design complexity. This is completed over several sessions with healing breaks in between.
How painful is it?
Pain levels vary by body area and personal tolerance. Some spots feel only mildly uncomfortable, while others can be more intense. Most clients find the process manageable with proper pacing and breaks.
When do you have free dates?
My schedule changes regularly. The best way to check availability is through the booking form. I’ll reply with my soonest open dates or place you on a waiting list if needed.
Can you draw a design for me?
Yes, all my tattoos are custom. Once we confirm placement, size, and overall idea, I create a design tailored specifically to your body and flow.
Can we have a consultation?
Yes. I offer consultations in person or online. This is where we discuss placement, size, and direction so everything is clear before I start designing.
Can you draw me a few examples to choose from?
I normally create one focused design that fits you best, based on our consultation. Small adjustments are always possible. If you’d like several different concepts to choose from, I can provide them for an additional design fee.
